The Creative Arts Anthology was first published in 2008 as a result of the efforts of founder-editors Tom Sharp and Miranda Bradshaw, Reading students in the English Literature department, who wanted to find a way to showcase the creative writing work of their fellow students.
Since then, the Anthology has become an annual publication, which continued to be edited by English Literature students, and designed by students of the University’s Department of Typography and Graphic Communications, while featuring a captivating array of poetry, prose and visual arts. This included work from students and staff across the University, as well as contributions by members of the local poetry and art communities, others connected to the University and the wider Reading area.
Previous guest writers have included the award-winning American poet August Kleinzahler, the acclaimed New Zealand poet Fleur Adcock, and the late Italian writer Giorgio Bassani.
