Bled Gold

Sunset tangerine,
Glows and dims as warmth,
Purple and magenta, crimson bronze and gold.

Beads streak across, road bound,
Destiny bound,
Lights white like beams,
Red like eyes,
Soaring.

City skies stand jagged on horizon, skyline twinkles,
Lit by ochre warmth,
Fading slowly to cool night's breeze,

But now still light, still strong,
And I watch, that sunset,
That sky of bleeding glow,
Of gliding cars on streak-line roads,
Of crimson purple hues and tones,
And there within its heart, I see, love,
Laziness. Relaxation.

I see calm, I see peace.
And all the motion thereabout.
