Meet the Editors & Designer

Issue two is full of poetry and art by talented artists and writers from the university and local area. We are beyond excited to be releasing yet another wonderful issue to be enjoyed by Reading’s creative community. We are also very pleased to have some art and writing by alumni.

Issue two has been edited by third-year students, Chloe Baker, Helen Zeineh, and Tiffany Tse. Chloe is studying English Literature and Creative Writing, Helen is studying Creative Writing and Film, and Tiffany is studying English Language and Literature. The website designer for this issue has been Natalia Biegala who studies Typography and Graphic Communication.

The Canvas team would like to thank Peter Robinson for his guidance and support of The Canvas. This project could not have been published without his invaluable effort. Our thanks also to Eric Kindel who supervised and supported the designer as part of the Real Jobs scheme in the Typography & Graphic Communication department. We would also like to thank Rowena Comrie for her permission to use her painting Fastlane as this issue’s cover art. Lastly, we would like to thank and congratulate the wonderful creatives who have sent their art and writing over to us.

As ever, if the work presented here inspires you to submit your own, please send it our way at thecanvas@reading.ac.uk. Find out how to become part of the third issue by heading over to our submit section on the website.

That’s all from us at The Canvas. Enjoy!
