Youth
so quick do the names we used to say
so often disappear
but they never really leave
they linger in dreams
and blocked out memories.
so cruel that I can’t reminisce about my youth
without thinking of you
can’t smile about the summer days
catching the trains late
squishing in to find some space
without remembering us two doing the same.
so frustrating to think about
how you feel towards me now
how you look back at our time spent
and if you regret it all
just because it ended.
